About our Washed Tanzania, Shinzingo Blend

Shinzingo AMCOS was formed in 2012 as Shinzidiwili FG (Farmers Group) by members from 9 nearby villages (the name combines Shinzingo and Idiliwi villages). Members processed coffee parchment at home. Since then, the AMCOS has grown in both members and volume and in 2019 the group decided to produce washed coffee and set up a Washing Station/Central Processing Unit (CPU). Members process cherries at the local Bishop’s plot, who offered to set up the CPU on his land. Shinzingo has recently started processing naturals in addition to washed coffee. In the future the AMCOS plans to purchase land and a build a larger CPU.
