Founded in 2001 by Profesor Cruz José Arguello Miceli, Unión Ramal Santa Cruz aims to improve the livelihoods of small coffee producers in La Concordia. With 492 members, including 177 women, they focus on community strength and sustainable practices. Situated in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, their dedication to picking ripe cherries and working with diverse vegetation results in premium coffee. This reserve, a vital site for bird migration, enriches their coffee’s quality.
